Thank you for helping Broome County.

Since September, we've raised over $14,000 to aid local communities...
thanks to our customers and manufacturer partners.

As the largest plumbing, heating, and HVAC distributor in the Northeast, F.W. Webb partnered with a number of generous manufacturers to make donations on products sold in F.W. Webb's Binghamton, NY location. From September 8 through December 31, 2011, we worked with our partners and customers to help support residents affected by Tropical Storm Lee who were forced to rebuild their lives and businesses.

While news coverage has quieted since the storm, there is still important work being done. We are gratified by the outpouring of community support that we have witnessed.

Thank You

All funds collected through this program have been donated to the United Way of Broome County.
100% of the contributions will be channeled directly to the relief effort.

Seven Ways to Update Your Bath

On September 30, 2011, Bedford, MA Showroom Manager Kathie Bonchack appeared on NBC CT News Today to discuss ways to update your bath.

Sprucing up your bath doesn't have to be difficult or expensive. Here are five fast, easy ways to treat guests to a beautiful new space.

  1. Turn on a new look. Faucet styles have changed a lot over the past few years with more choice than ever. Whether you go sleek and European or updated traditional, this simple item can give your space a whole new ambience.
  2. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize. A stylish new shower rod, towel rod, paperholder, and soapdish deliver a lot of design bang for your buck. Hang some colorful new towels on the rod and you're good to go. (Bath accessories make great gift ideas too.)
  3. A little paint goes a long way. Even if you're not ready to change your fixtures, you can create a whole different look with a fresh coat of paint or wallpaper. Replace tired tile to complete the transformation.
  4. The seat of power. Frank Webb's Bath Center can match the shade of a new seat to your existing toilet. You'll be amazed at how much this simple improvement brightens the room.
  5. Shower yourself with luxury. Combination showerhead/handheld fixtures are very popular. You usually don't have to replumb to install them, and the new water-efficient products are a treat for the environment and your pocket.
  6. Mirror, mirror on the wall. Here's an easy improvement: Replace that old mirror with a sleek new design.
  7. See the light. An essential element of bath design that is often overlooked. Check out an elegant new fixture at a Frank Webb's Bath and Lighting Center.

You can find many of the products featured on display at your local Frank Webb's Bath Center. Please stop by and allow our specialists to assist you in finding the perfect products for your home.

Cape Cod Commission Receives EPA's 2010 "Clean Air Excellence Award"

Cape Cod Commission LogoThe EPA's awards program, established in 2000 at the recommendation of the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee, annually recognizes and honors outstanding innovative efforts to help make progress in achieving cleaner air. Award-winning entries must directly or indirectly reduce pollutant emissions, demonstrate innovation, offer sustainable outcomes, and provide a model for others to follow.

"The award recognizes the Commission's role as a preeminent planning agency working on the cutting edge of energy policy development," says Cape Cod Commission Executive Director Paul Niedzwiecki. "Our approach to energy efficiency and renewable energy on Cape Cod is a comprehensive one. We emphasize the importance of distributed generation, diversity, and innovation. We encourage projects scaled appropriately for our region and the features that make Cape Cod so special."

Niedzwiecki accepted the award on behalf of the Commission at the Clean Air Excellence Awards Ceremony in the nation's capital. Joining him were Commission Deputy Director Patty Daley and Planner/Energy Specialist Ryan Christenberry, the chief author of the energy section of the 2009 Regional Policy Plan. Christenberry worked with renewable energy proponents, environmental planners, and potential developers to craft the regional standards.

Development proposals above a certain threshold must be designed to earn ENERGY STAR(r) certification, use efficient building-envelope design standards, and meet 10 percent of their electrical demand through on-site renewable-energy generation. Flexible waiver criteria encourage innovation for projects with certain site constraints.

As one example, Christenberry points to a new facility in Hyannis that F.W. Webb (home of Frank Webb's Bath Centers), the Northeast's largest plumbing and heating supply company, redeveloped following the standards of the 2009 Regional Policy Plan. "F.W. Webb's 60,000 square foot warehouse/office redevelopment is an outstanding example of the suitability and application of the plan's energy standards," she says. "The company embraced the regulations and achieved an innovative building design that has become a model for facilities in the future."
